ACSPR Internship Programme (AIP)
The ACSPR Internship Programme is designed to equip young professionals, university students, and recent graduates with hands-on research, policy analysis, and programme management experience in the areas of social and population research. It provides a pathway for youth to gain practical skills, mentorship, and professional networks that prepare them for careers in academia, development, and policy influence.
Objectives
Capacity Building: Equip interns with advanced research methodologies (quantitative & qualitative), data analysis tools, and project implementation skills.
Exposure to Policy Processes: Enable interns to understand the link between evidence generation and policy decision-making in Africa.
Workplace Readiness: Enhance interns' professional skills, ethics, and leadership abilities for competitive career opportunities.
Structure
Duration: 3–6 months
Eligibility: Final-year students, recent graduates, and early-career professionals from African universities.
Activities
Participate in ongoing ACSPR research projects.
Assist in field data collection, literature reviews, and statistical analysis.
Attend internal capacity-building workshops on SRHR, demographics, climate adaptation, and AI.
Engage in policy dialogues and knowledge-sharing events.
