The SRHR Gap in Uganda: Why Rights on Paper Are Not Enough for Vulnerable Communities
This policy brief examines the gap between Uganda’s formal sexual and reproductive health and rights commitments and the real ability of vulnerable communities to access confidential, affordable, respectful, disability-inclusive, youth-friendly, and accountable SRHR services. It highlights barriers affecting adolescents, young women, persons with disabilities, refugees, rural and low-income communities, sex workers, key populations, and urban poor communities, and proposes policy actions to move from rights on paper to lived access.
